TEDPIX Sheds 8,000 Points 

The benchmark of Tehran Stock Exchange, TEDPIX, shed 7,977.99 points or 0.56% on Wednesday to end at 1,412,856.5.

About 5.7 billion shares worth 40.44 trillion rials ($139.4 million) changed hands at TSE for the day.

Trading at TSE and junior equities exchange Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday.

Kowsar Pharmaceutical Company was the top winner as its shares went up 6.83% to 2,833 rials per share.

Fars Construction and Development Company incurred the biggest loss among all TSE-listed companies losing 4.94% to 9,430 rials per share.

Chadormalu Mining & Industrial Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by National Iranian Copper Industries Company, Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company and Bandar Abbas Oil Refining Company.

Telecommunication Company of Iran gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Ofogh Koorosh Chain Stores Company, HiWeb Company and Asiatech Data Transmission Company.

 

IFX Down 0.3%

Iran Fara Bourse main index, IFX, lost 57.44 points or 0.3% to close Wednesday at 19,118.

About 4.07 billion shares and securities valued at 102.35 trillion rials ($352.9m) were traded at the junior equities exchange for the day.

Day Bank had the highest number of traded shares as 297.4 million of its shares worth 205.7 billion rials ($709,275) were traded.

Gohar Zamin Iron Ore Company, Zagros Petrochemical Company, Arya Sasol Polymer Company and Shiraz Oil Refining Company had the most negative impact on IFX.

Negin Software Systems Development Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Iran Cultural Heritage and Tourism Investment Group Company, Iranian Ghadir Iron and Steel Company and Razi Distribution Company.
