    Tehran Stocks Slide Across the Board 

    Tehran stocks opened the week on Saturday in negative territory under unrelenting sell-side pressure in almost all categories. 

    The main gauge of Tehran Stock Exchange, TEDPIX, shed 12,455.10 points or 0.87% to end at 1,426,941.24.

    The TSE’s equal-weighted index was down 0.95%, reflecting the performance of small caps and penny stocks. 

    Retail trade reached 29.44 trillion rials ($101 million), posting 4% rise on the session before. About 6.17 billion shares valued at 38.15 trillion rials ($131.5m) changed hands at the TSE for the day.

    Trading at TSE and junior equities exchange Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday.

    Iran Radiator Industrial Group Company was the biggest winner as its shares went up 10.06% to 3,830 rials per share.

    Nirou Moharekeh Industrial Group Company incurred the biggest loss among all TSE-listed companies and went down 6.51% to 3,820 rials per share.

    National Iranian Copper Industries Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Bandar Abbas Oil Refining Company, Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines Company and Esfahan Oil Refining Company.

    Pardis Petrochemical Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Parsian Oil and Gas Development Group Company, Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Development and Investment Group Company and Khorasan Petrochemical Company.

     

    IFX Down 0.8%

    Iran Fara Bourse main index, IFX, lost 149.92 points or 0.78% to close Saturday trade at the 19,160.52.

    About 3.82 billion shares and securities valued at 330.17 trillion rials ($1.13 billion) were traded in the junior equities exchange for the day.

    Day Bank had the highest number of traded shares as 292.38 million of its shares worth 205.6 billion rials ($708,993) were traded.

    Arya Sasol Polymer Company, Iran Fara Bourse, Gohar Zamin Iron Ore Company and Zagros Petrochemical Company had the most negative impact on IFX.

    Saba Tamin Investment Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Kowsar Insurance Company, Tejaratno Insurance Company and Zagros Kosar Electricity Generation Management Company.
