Tehran stocks opened trading week Saturday in positive territory with the benchmark Tehran Stock Exchange, TEDPIX, surging more than 0.5%.
The market cap-weighted index added 7,671.98 points to end trading at 1,450,045.
At the close of the session, 303 tickers were positive accounting for almost half of all traded stocks.
Retail trade was in the region of 41.53 trillion rials ($143 million) on Saturday, indicating a slight 0.4% rise on the session before.
About 7.63 billion shares valued at 52.92 trillion rials ($182.5 m) changed hands at TSE for the day.
Trade at the TSE and junior equities exchange Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday.
Bahman Investment Company was the biggest winner as its shares went up 5.99% to 14,680 rials per share.
Niroo Investment Company incurred the biggest loss among all TSE-listed companies and went down 4.64% to 2,752 rials per share.
SAIPA car company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Mellat Bank, Tejarat Bank and Bank Saderat Iran.
Pardis Petrochemical Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Chadormalu Mining & Industrial Company, Bandar Abbas Oil Refining Company and Golgohar Mining and Industrial Company.

Iran Fara Bourse main index, IFX, gained 69.09 points or 0.36% to close Saturday at 19,389.63.
About 3.31 billion shares and securities valued at 52.06 trillion rials ($179.5m) were traded at the junior equities exchange for the day.
Day Bank had the highest number of traded shares as 398.4 million of its shares worth 298.4 billion rials ($1.02m) were traded.
Damavand Power Generation Company, Minoo Industrial Group Company, Iranian Ghadir Iron and Steel Company and Gohar Zamin Iron Ore Company had the most negative impact on IFX.
Arya Sasol Polymer Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Shiraz Oil Refining Company, Zagros Petrochemical Company and Shahid Tondgooyan Petrochemical Company.
