After a short-lived bull-run a session before, Tehran stocks traded choppily on Sunday as the bullish mode in the opening of trade gave way to sell-off at close of the session.
The main index of Tehran Stock Exchange, TEDPIX, shed 3,447.69 points or 0.24% to end trade at 1,463,653. At the end of session, 218 tickers gained while 414 lost value, representing 34% of the total trade.
Retail trade amounted to 35.18 trillion rials ($117 million) on Sunday, rising 7% on the session before. About 8.61 billion shares valued at 46.11 trillion rials ($153m) changed hands at TSE for the day.
Shazand Petrochemical Company was the big winner as its shares went up 5.99% to 36,470 rials per share.
Kurdistan Cement Company incurred the biggest loss among all TSE-listed companies and went down 4.83% to 13,800 rials per share.
National Iranian Copper Industries Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Nouri Petrochemical Company, Mobarakeh Steel Company and Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company.
Shazand Petrochemical Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Saipa Automaker Company, National Development Investment Group Company and Iran Khodro Company.
IFX Down 0.3%
Iran Fara Bourse main index, IFX, lost 59.34 points or 0.31% to close Sunday trade at the 19,205.
About 2.64 billion shares and securities valued at 129.88 trillion rials ($447.8m) were traded at the junior equities exchange for the day.
Day Bank had the highest number of traded shares as 355.74 million of its shares worth 258.99 billion rials ($893,096) were traded.
Zagros Petrochemical Company, Shiraz Oil Refining Company, Bahman Diesel Company and MAPNA Asaluyeh Power Generation Company had the most negative impact on IFX.
Pasargad Insurance Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Saba Tamin Investment Company, Arya Sasol Polymer Company and Chlor Pars Company.
