    TEDPIX Gives Up 0.24%

    Tehran’s share market saw choppy trade on Wednesday as most shares pared early hour gains amid mounting sell-off. 

    The benchmark of Tehran Stock Exchange, TEDPIX shed 3,478.85 points or 0.24% to end trade at 1,448,463.

    As the session ended, 63% of the stocks were in negative territory, comprising 384 tickers while the price in 230 tickers rose. 

    Retail trade plunged 19% compared with the session before to reach 21.4 trillion rials ($69 million). 

    About 5.84 billion shares valued at 32.62 trillion rials ($105.4 m) changed hands at TSE for the day. Trading at the TSE and junior equities exchange Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday.

    Petrochemical Industries Investment Company was the biggest winner as its shares went up 5.88% to 8,100 rials per share.

    Piazar Agro Industrial Company incurred the biggest loss among all TSE-listed companies and went down 4.99% to 62,680 rials per share.

    Golgohar Mining and Industrial Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Social Security Investment Company, Iran Khodro Company and Bandar Abbas Oil Refining Company.

    Mobarakeh Steel Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company, National Development Investment Group Company and National Iranian Copper Industries Company.

     

    IFX Flat

    The main index of Iran Fara Bourse, IFX, was flat at the end of trade to stand at 19,150.86.

    About 2.46 billion shares and securities valued at 124.14 trillion rials ($428m) were traded at the junior equities exchange for the day.

    Zagros Petrochemical Company, Shiraz Oil Refining Company, Bahman Diesel Company and Damavand Power Generation Company had the most negative impact on IFX.

    Pasargad Insurance Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Iranian Reinsurance Company, Pouya Zarkan Agh Darreh Company and Damavand Investment Bank.
