Tehran stocks closed trading week Wednesday in negative territory amid continuous outflow of capital by retail investors.
The main gauge of Tehran Stock Exchange, TEDPIX, lost 8,471.09 points or 0.56% to end trade at 1,502,603.
Value of trade by retail investors dropped 10% on the session before to reach 33.66 trillion rials ($108 million). Net capital outflow by retailers reached 1.62 trillion rials ($5.2 million) on Wednesday.
About 5.74 billion shares valued at 35.5 trillion rials ($114 million) changed hands at TSE for the day.
Trading at TSE and junior equities exchange Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday.
Dana Insurance Company was the biggest winner as its shares went up 21.24% to 1,210 rials per share.
Zar Spring Manufacturing Company incurred the biggest loss among all TSE-listed companies and went down 5.77% to 3,544 rials per share.
National Iranian Copper Industries Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company, Persian Gulf Fajr Energy Company and Pardis Petrochemical Company.
Mobarakeh Steel Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Tabriz Oil Refining Company, Dana Insurance Company and Middle East Bank.

Iran Fara Bourse main index, IFX, shed 84.11 points or 0.42% to close Wednesday trade at 20,136.
About 3.96 billion shares and securities worth 209.82 trillion rials ($676m) were traded at the IFB for the day.
Arya Sasol Polymer Company, Minoo Industrial Group Company, Hormozgan Steel Company and Iranian Ghadir Iron and Steel Company had the most negative impact on IFX.
Lavan Oil Refining Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Saman Insurance Company, Damavand Power Generation Company and Day Bank.
