The benchmark of Tehran Stock Exchange, TEDPIX, lost 12,083 points or 0.8% on Saturday to close the first trading day of the week at 1,501,631.
The TSE’s equal-weighted index fell more than 1%, indicating mounting sell-side pressure on small caps.
A total of 7.05 billion shares worth 42.06 trillion rials ($131 million) changed hands at TSE for the day.
Trading at TSE and junior equities exchange Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday.
Navard and Iran Steel Parts Manufacturing Company was the big victor as its shares went up 4.95% to 230,510 rials per share.
Nirou Moharekeh Industrial Group Company incurred the biggest loss among all TSE-listed companies and went down 5.86% to 3,612 rials per share.
Mobarakeh Steel Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Pars Petrochemical Company, Iran Khodro Company and Mellat Bank.
Golgohar Mining and Industrial Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Sepahan Oil Company, Ofogh Koorosh Chain Stores Company and Navard and Iran Steel Parts Manufacturing Company.
IFX Falls 1%
Iran Fara Bourse main index, IFX, lost 202.13 points or 0.99% to close Saturday at 20,209.
About 3.75 billion shared and securities valued at 35.94 trillion rials ($123.9m) were traded at the junior equities exchange for the day.
Gohar Zamin Iron Ore Company, Arya Sasol Polymer Company, Zagros Petrochemical Company and Lavan Oil Refining Company had the most negative impact on IFX.
Iranol Oil Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Negin Software Systems Development Company, Saroj Bushehr International Company and Pouya Zarkan Agh Darreh Company.
