The benchmark of Tehran Stock Exchange, TEDPIX, lost 13,058 points as trading week opened Saturday losing 0.85% to end at 1,520,334.
Unlike the market cap-weighted TEDPIX, the TSE’s equal-weighted index was up 0.1% as smalls caps performed better.
More than 63% of the shares ended in negative territory comprising 412 tickers while 235 others gained.
Retail trade rose 2% to 41.53 trillion rials ($133 million). About 7.45 billion shares valued at 44.71 trillion rials ($144 m) changed hands at TSE for the day.
Iran Khodro Investment Development Company was the biggest winner as its shares went up 6% to 3,799 rials per share.
Calcimine Company incurred the biggest loss among all TSE-listed companies and went down 5.59% to 20,110 rials per share.
National Iranian Copper Industries Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Mobarakeh Steel Company, Middle East Mines and Mineral Industries Development Holding Company and Tamin Petroleum and Petrochemical Investment Company.
Iran Khodro Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Saipa Automaker Company, Bank Saderat Iran and Parsian Bank.
IFX Loses 0.4%
Iran Fara Bourse main index, IFX, lost 86.21 points or 0.42% to close Saturday trade at 20,584.
About 4.3 billion shares and securities valued at 46.44 trillion rials ($150m) were traded at the junior equities exchange for the day.
Day Bank had the highest number of traded shares as 1.58 billion of its shares worth 1.28 trillion rials ($4.4m) were traded.
Iranian Ghadir Iron and Steel Company, Arya Sasol Polymer Company, Shahid Tondgooyan Petrochemical Company and Gohar Zamin Iron Ore Company had the most negative impact on IFX.
Iran Fara Bourse gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Bahman Diesel Company, Kowsar Insurance Company and Negin Software Systems Development Company.
