Tehran’s share market closed near the flatline for the second straight session on Monday.
The benchmark of Tehran Stock Exchange, gained 1,284.69 points or 0.08% to end trade at 1,547,247.
Despite slight gain in the TSE’s main index, majority of stocks ended in negative territory. Prices of 251 tickers rose and 388 others fell, representing 61% of total active tickers.
Retail trade was up 8% to reach 45.88 trillion rials ($148 million) on Monday.
About 6.02 billion shares valued at 40.23 trillion rials ($130 m) changed hands at TSE for the day.
Tehran Cement Company was the main beneficiary as its shares went up 5.98% to 33,310 rials per share.
Chemi Darou Industrial Company incurred the biggest loss among all TSE-listed companies and went down 5.42% to 20,600 rials per share.
Pardis Petrochemical Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by National Iranian Copper Industries Company, Telecommunication Company of Iran and Shiraz Petrochemical Company.
Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Iran Khodro Company, Saipa Automaker Company and Mobin Energy Persian Gulf Company.
IFX Up 0.13%
Iran Fara Bourse main index, IFX, gained 27.75 points or 0.13% to close Monday trade at 20,986.11.
About 4.87 billion shares and securities were traded at the junior equities exchange for the day.
Gohar Zamin Iron Ore Company, Zagros Petrochemical Company, Iran Cultural Heritage and Tourism Investment Group Company and Mehr Ayandegan Financial Development Group Company had the most negative impact on IFX.
Arya Sasol Polymer Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Damavand Power Generation Company, Saba Tamin Investment Company and Day Bank.
