Tehran Stocks Slightly Higher

Tehran stock market closed trading week slightly higher on Wednesday amid rising volume of deals in the equities of small and mediums sized companies. 

The benchmark of Tehran Stock Exchange TEDPIX gained 308.41 points, or 0.10%, for the day to end trading at 304,997. 

About 2.03 billion shares valued at 11.03 trillion rials ($91.96 million) changed hands at TSE for the day.

Trading at TSE and over-the-counter Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday.

Iran Behshahr Industrial Investment Company was the biggest winner as its shares went up 10.14% to 4,180 rials per share.

Noosh Mazandaran Company (a food company) incurred the biggest loss among all TSE-listed companies and went down 5% to 52,012 rials per share.

Pardis Petrochemical Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Mobarakeh Steel Company, Pars Petrochemical Company and Esfahan Oil Refining Company.

Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Behran Oil Company, Telecommunication Company of Iran and Mobile Telecommunication Company of Iran.

The Price Index gained 82.63 points, or 0.10% to close at 81,709.3.

The First Market Index was down 182.05 points, or 0.08% to post 220,787.0. Second Market Index increased by 2,460.18 points, or 0.40% to reach 624,226.2.

The Industry Index increased by 165.39 points or 0.06% to register 273,210.4. The Free Float Index was up 1,191.57 points to hit 355,297.99.

TSE 30 lost 46.63 points to settle at 13,117.9 and the TSE 50 ended 29.71 points lower to finish at 11,880.0.

 

IFX Up 0.74%

Iran Fara Bourse main index IFX gained 28.84 points or 0.74% to close Wednesday trade at 3,950.1.

About 663.98 million securities valued at 6.36 trillion rials ($52.99 million) were traded at the over-the-counter exchange for the day.

Esfahan Steel Company had the highest number of traded shares as 83 million of its shares worth 148.07 billion rials ($1.23 million) were traded.

Zagros Petrochemical Company, Shiraz Oil Refining Company, Pasargad Oil Company and Tukarail Holding Company had the most negative impact on IFX.

Damavand Power Generation Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Kowsar Insurance, Iranol Oil Company and Iran Office Machines Industries.
