    TEDPIX Inches Higher

    The benchmark of Tehran Stock Exchange, TEDPIX gained 6,817.32 points or 0.47% on Monday to end trade at 1,468,820 points.

    The market saw a noticeable presence of retail traders unseen in the recent past. Retail trade reached 81.85 trillion rials ($310 million), up 40% on Sunday’s session and the highest in six months. 

    Prices in 225 tickers gained while 269 dropped, representing more than half the total.  

    About 16.15 billion shares valued at 89.87 trillion rials ($333 m) changed hands at TSE for the day.

    Rayan Saipa Leasing Company was the main winner as its shares went up 5% to 1,701 rials per share.

    Isfahan Cement Company incurred the biggest loss among all TSE-listed companies giving up 4.73% to 37,070 rials per share.

    National Iranian Copper Industries Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Nouri Petrochemical Company, Social Security Investment Company and Golgohar Mining and Industrial Company.

    Mobarakeh Steel Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index followed by Esfahan Oil Refining Company, Bandar Abbas Oil Refining Company and Tehran Oil Refining Company.

     

    IFX Up 0.3%

    Iran Fara Bourse main index, IFX, gained 55.58 points or 0.28 % to close Monday trade at 19,689. About 7.2 billion shares and securities worth 1,852.5 trillion rials ($6.86 billion) were traded at the junior equity exchange for the day.

    Kerman Province Development Investment Company had the highest number of traded shares as 282.94 million of its shares worth 233.06 billion rials ($863,203) were traded.

    Zagros Petrochemical Company, Arya Sasol Polymer Company, Minoo Industrial Group Company and Shahid Tondgooyan Petrochemical Company had the most negative impact on IFX.

    Gohar Zamin Iron Ore Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Arfa Iron and Steel Company, Mehr Ayandegan Financial Development Group Company and Shiraz Oil Refining Company.
