Major indices of Tehran’s share market closed near the flatline on Monday amid noticeable decline in trade by retail investors.
Swinging between positive and negative zones, the benchmark of Tehran Stock Exchange, TEDPIX, closed the session down 0.04%, shedding 595.58 points to end trade at 1,334,780.82.
The TSE’s equal-weighted index ended trade 0.07% higher, indicating the better performance of small caps.
Amid the aversion of retail investors to the unstable share market, retail trade dropped 10% on Monday to reach 27.42 trillion rials ($106 million), the lowest in two weeks.
About 5.17 billion shares valued at 67.13 trillion rials ($258.2 m) changed hands at TSE for the day.
Pars Animal Feed Company was the biggest winner as its shares went up 4.99% to 32,170 rials per share.
Bafgh Mines Company incurred the biggest loss among all TSE-listed companies and went down 4.93% to 27,600 rials per share.
Pardis Petrochemical Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Chadormalu Mining and Industrial Company, Shiraz Petrochemical Company and Barakat Pharmaceuticals Group Company.
Golgohar Mining and Industrial Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index followed by Mines and Metals Development Investment Company, Iran Khodro carmaker and Iran Chemical Industries Investment Company.

Iran Fara Bourse main index, IFX, lost 14.04 points or 0.08% to close Monday trade at 18,138. About 4.3 billion shares and securities valued at 1,833.74 trillion rials ($7.05b) were traded at the junior exchange for the day.
Tajali Mines and Metals Development Company had the highest number of traded shares as 258.21 million of its shares worth 411.2 billion rials ($1.58m) were traded.
Arya Sasol Polymer Company, Minoo Industrial Group Company, Tajali Mines and Metals Development Company and Negin Software Systems Development Company had the most negative impact on IFX.
Pasargad Insurance Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Damavand Power Generation Company, Gohar Zamin Iron Ore Company and Pouya Zarkan Agh Darreh Company.
