Tehran stocks on Tuesday bucked an ascending trend that lasted for three sessions as investor jitters to save gains gave way to selloff pressure.
The main index of Tehran Stock Exchange, TEDPIX, lost 6,264.66 points or 0.47% to end trade at 1,336,642.
The benchmark had gained more than 4.6% during three consecutive rallies spurred mainly by rise price of commodity stocks.  
About 7.33 billion shares worth 52.24 trillion rials ($200.9 million) changed hands at TSE on Tuesday.
Behshahr Industrial Development Company was the biggest winner as its shares went up 5% to 3,004 rials per share.
Isfahan Cement Company incurred the biggest loss among all TSE-listed companies and went down 4.86% to 32,870 rials per share.
Mobarakeh Steel Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Social Security Investment Company, Mellat Bank and Iran Khodro Company.
Tehran Oil Refining Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index followed by Mines and Metals Development Investment Company, Kish South Kaveh Steel Company and National Iranian Copper Industries Company.

 

IFX Up 0.26%

Iran Fara Bourse main index, IFX, gained 47.34 points or 0.26% to close Tuesday trade at 18,145.
About 3.77 billion shares and securities valued at 52.69 trillion rials ($202.6m) were traded at junior exchange for the day.
Saba Tamin Investment Company, Iran Fara Bourse, Shahid Tondgooyan Petrochemical Company and Lavan Oil Refining Company had the most negative impact on IFX.
Zagros Petrochemical Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Arya Sasol Polymer Company, Tajali Mines and Metals Development Company and Arfa Iron and Steel Company.
