Tehran Stocks Trade Near Flatline

The benchmark of Tehran Stock Exchange, TEDPIX, showed   positive signs on Wednesday only to fall back into negative territory in the closing hours.  
The market cap-weighted TEDPIX lost 780 points or 0.06% to end trade at 1,281,153.37. The retreat was because of the decline in stocks of the Social Security Investment Company, aka Shasta. Given its size, fluctuations in the price of Shasta shares normally impact TEDPIX performance. 
The TSE’s equal-weighted index gained 0.06%, reflecting the performance of small caps. 
At the close of session prices of 242 tickers gained and 403 others dropped, representing 62% of the total. 
About 4.12 billion shares valued at 28.21 trillion rials ($108.5 million) changed hands at TSE for the day. Trading at TSE and junior exchange Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday.
Shafa Darou Investment Company was the biggest winner as its shares went up 4.99% to 10,300 rials per share.
Pars Tile Company incurred the biggest loss among all TSE-listed companies and went down 4.57% to 8,140 rials per share.
Social Security Investment Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Iran Khodro Company, Mellat Bank and Mobarakeh Steel Company.
Golgohar Mining and Industrial Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index followed by Ghadir Investment Company, Chadormalu Mining And Industrial Company and Bandar Abbas Oil Refining Company.

 

IFX Gives Up 0.2%

Iran Fara Bourse main index, IFX, lost 31.46 points or 0.18% to close Wednesday trade at 17,642. About 2.61 billion shares and securities worth 66.51 trillion rials ($255.8m) were traded at junior exchange for the day.
Pasargad Insurance Company, Zagros Petrochemical Company, Melal Credit Institution and Tabas Parvardeh Coal Company had the most negative impact on IFX.
Minoo Industrial Group Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Saman Insurance Company, Negin Software Systems Development Company and Lavan Oil Refining Company.
