    Tehran Stocks Inch Down 0.6%

    Tehran’s share market closed Monday lower as the benchmark of Tehran Stock Exchange, TEDPIX, retreated further from the psychological 1.3 million points. 

    The TEDPIX lost 7,582.04 points and dipped 0.59% for the day to end trade at 1,274,467. The TSE’s equal-weighted index was down 0.77%, indicating intense selloff pressure on small caps. 

    Only 24% of the tickers gained on Monday comprising 119 shares while prices in 258 others declined. 

    About 5.8 billion shares valued at 36.26 trillion rials ($129.5 million) changed hands at TSE for the day.

    Ardakan Industrial Ceramics Company was the biggest winner as its shares went up 10.5% to 4,641 rials per share.

    Pars Darou Pharmaceutical Company incurred the biggest loss among all TSE-listed companies and went down 4.97% to 23,730 rials per share.

    Mobarakeh Steel Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by National Iranian Copper Industries Company, Iran Khodro Company and Parsian Oil and Gas Development Group Company.

    Mines and Metals Development Investment Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index followed by Tehran Oil Refining Company, Bouali Sina Petrochemical Company and Esfahan Oil Refining Company.

     

    IFX Flat 

    The main index of Iran Fara Bourse, IFX, ended a little below the flatline, shedding 4.21 points or 0.02% to close Monday trade at 17,373.17.

    About 4.26 billion shares and securities valued at 1,591.07 trillion rials ($5.7 billion) were traded at the junior exchange for the day.

    Tajali Mines and Metals Development Company had the highest number of traded shares as 449.53 million of its shares worth 588.53 billion rials ($2.1m) were traded.

    Zagros Petrochemical Company, Melal Credit Institution, Iran Fara Bourse and Damavand Power Generation Company had the most negative impact on IFX.

    Pasargad Insurance Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Tajali Mines and Metals Development Company, Negin Software Systems Development Company and MAPNA Asaluyeh Power Generation Company.
