Tehran stocks closed on Monday in positive territory continuing a bull run that has dominated the share market for four straight sessions.
The market cap-weighted benchmark of Tehran Stock Exchange, TEDPIX, gained 9,971 points and climbed 0.78%, putting TEDPIX gains in four sessions at 7%.
Unlike previous trade, small caps were the big winners as the TSE’s equal-weighted index slightly outgained the TEDPIX, rising more than 0.9%.
Prices of 330 tickers rose while 141 others closed in the negative zone. The gainers accounted for 66% of the total tickers.
The bullish trend was triggered at the end of last week after the government said it would bring forward the enforcement date of bourse support measures approved in late December.
As part of the 2022-23 budget, the measures were initially set for March marking the beginning of the Iranian New Year. The government announced the new timeline on Wednesday.
