Extending a long losing streak, Tehran stocks opened Saturday under fresh selling pressure, registering the biggest daily loss in the past month.
The benchmark of Tehran Stock Exchange, TEDPIX, shed 27,441.58 points and dived 1.97% for the day to end trading at 1,366,664.
Unrelenting sell side pressure was seen throughout the session and across all shares, dragging down the TSE’s equal-weighted index by more than 1.7%.
Value of retail trade declined 24% compared to the session before to reach 37.97 trillion rials ($135 million), registering the lowest trade value in four weeks.
