Tehran stocks closed the week lower as sell-side pressure continued unabated for most commodities and large caps.
The market-cap weighted index of Tehran Stock Exchange, TEDPIX, lost 13,125.19 points or 0.91% on Wednesday to end trade at 1,436,371.
Most large caps and export-based companies were hit hard by the sell-off, dragging down the TSE-30 Index by 1.8%. The index tracks the performance of top TSE-listed companies in terms of market cap.
Unlike most previous sessions, small caps performed better as the TSE’s equal-weighted index was resilient losing 0.3%.
