    TEDPIX Edges Up 0.4%

    Tehran Stocks extended a winning streak into the eighth day on on Monday following demand for a handful of large caps.

    The main gauge of Tehran Stock Exchange, TEDPIX, gained 5,261.09 points or 0.42% to end trade at 1,243,747.

    Banks, mineral and investment companies were the top gainers with stocks of the Social Security Investment Company contributing the most to the TEDPIX’s growth.

    About 8.54 billion shares valued at 62.52 trillion rials ($250.1 million) changed hands at TSE for the day. Piranshahr Food Products and Sugar Company was the biggest winner as its shares went up 9.53% to 8,850 rials per share.

    Sina Chemical Industries Company incurred the biggest loss among all TSE-listed companies and went down 32.6% to 83,090 rials per share.

    Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Esfahan Oil Refining Company, National Iranian Copper Industries Company and Barakat Pharmaceuticals Group Company.

    The Social Security Investment Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Chadormalu Mining and Industrial Company, Tejarat Bank and Mellat Bank.

    IFX Up 0.18%

    Iran Fara Bourse main index, IFX, gained 31.52 points or 0.18% to close Monday trade at 17,799.18. About 1.99 billion securities valued at 156.16 trillion rials ($624.64m) were traded at the junior exchange for the day.

    Kerman Province Development Investment Company had the highest number of traded shares as 258.18 million of its shares worth 279.02 billion rials ($1.11m) were traded.

    Arya Sasol Polymer Company, A.S.P. Constructional Company, Iran Cultural Heritage and Tourism Investment Group Company and Shahid Tondgooyan Petrochemical Company had the most negative impact on IFX.

    Saba Tamin Investment Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Hormozgan Steel Company, Minoo Industrial Group Company and Zagros Petrochemical Company.
