Tehran stocks made a relatively big rally on Tuesday covering both large and small caps amid inflow of fresh liquidity by retail investors.
TEDPIX, the benchmark of Tehran Stock Exchange, gained 18,240.52 points and climbed more than 1.5%, closing the session at 1,186,905. The gain was the biggest in the past 17 sessions.
Amid the upbeat mode, penny stocks heaved a sigh of relief after months of unabated sell-side pressure. The TSE’s equal-weighted index rose 0.85% on Tuesday, the highest daily gain since Feb. 7, the economic news website Eqtesad News reported.
