    Tehran stocks closed trading week Wednesday lower with major indicators posting big losses to extend a losing streak into the fourth session.

    The main index of Tehran Stock Exchange, TEDPIX, lost 18,669.44 points or 1.59% to finish trading at 1,154,844.68.

    TSE’s equal-weighted index was down 1.45%, shedding 5,834 points to record the biggest daily decline since February 6. The index gives the same weight to all shares irrespective of their market cap.

    About 5.12 billion shares valued at 38.18 trillion rials ($166.01 million) changed hands at TSE for the day. Omid Development and Construction Company was the biggest winner as its shares went up 2.7% to 1,369 per share.

    Iran Refractories Company incurred the biggest loss among all TSE-listed companies and went down 48.65% to 23,550 rials per share.

    National Iranian Copper Industries Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company, Esfahan Oil Refining Company and Social Security Investment Company.

    Barakat Pharmaceutical Group Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index followed by Opal Kani Pars Mining and Processing Company, Pakshoo Industrial Group Company and Pars Petrochemical Company.

    IFB Up 0.11%

    Iran Fara Bourse main index, IFX, gained 18.92 points or 0.11% to close Wednesday trade at 17,791.45. About 1.33 billion securities valued at 101.09 trillion rials ($439.53 million) were traded at junior exchange for the day.

    Zagros Petrochemical Company, Gohar Zamin Iron Ore Company, Esfahan Steel Company and Melal Credit Institution had the most negative impact on IFX.

    Middle East Mines and Mineral Industries Development Holding Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Pasargad Insurance Company, Pegah Gilan Dairy Company and Sanati Doodeh Fam Company.
