With deep recession battering Tehran’s share market, the major index of Tehran Stock Exchange, TEDPIX, declined on Sunday to log ten consecutive decline in a row.
The market cap-weighted TEDPIX lost 9,820 points or 0.79% on Sunday to end trading at 1,230,876. The loss was smaller at 0.2% for the equal-weighted index that reflects the performance of small caps.
About 1.74 billion shares valued at 19.96 trillion rials ($79.87 million) changed hands at TSE for the day. Behshahr Industrial Development Company was the biggest winner as its shares went up 4.55% to 26,180 rials per share.
