Tehran stocks opened trading week on Saturday under sell side pressure in a broad range of share categories, extending a long losing streak since mid-February.
The main gauge of Tehran Stock Exchange, TEDPIX, lost the psychological support level of 1.2 million points and dropped to 1,193,977.
The market cap-weighted TSE index shed 11,854.54 points and slipped 1% on Saturday. The downturn was the biggest since the stock market regulator enforced new daily price spread on Feb.13, based on which prices spread from -2% to +6% a day instead of the previous ±5%.
