TEDPIX Drops 1.7%

While small caps continue to eke out gains, the big listed companies extended losses on Saturday with the main index of Tehran Stock Exchange losing 1.7%.  TEDPIX lost 24,407.5 points to end trading at 1,423,507.44.
The upbeat performance of the penny stocks pushed up equal-weighted index 1% higher. The index gives the same weight to all shares irrespective of their market caps.  
About 9.22 billion shares valued at 125.51 trillion rials ($482.74 million) changed hands at TSE for the day.
Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by National Iranian Copper Industries Company, Mobarakeh Steel Company and Social Security Investment Company.
Pardis Petrochemical Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index followed by Khorasan Steel Company, Bama Mining Company and Bouali Sina Petrochemical Company.

Iran Fara Bourse main index, IFX, lost 69.87 points or 0.35% to close Saturday trade at 20,073.72. About 3.77 billion shares valued at 66.84 trillion rials ($257.1m) were traded at the junior exchange for the day.
Pasargad Insurance Company, Hormozgan Steel Company, Saba Tamin Investment Company and Marun Petrochemical Company had the most negative impact on IFX.
Gohar Zamin Iron Ore Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Arya Sasol Polymer Company, Zagros Petrochemical Company and Damavand Power Generation Company.
