Brokerage firms processed 7,024 trillion rials ($41 billion) in stock market deals in the first two months of the current fiscal year (March 20 to May 20), around 40% of which was handled by four main companies.
According to a report by Tehran Stock Exchange on the brokerage business, Mofid Securities Company was the leading firm during the period with 19.3 % of the total deals followed by Agah Brokerage with 12.6 %, Farabi Brokerage Company 3.18%, and Mobin Sarmayeh Brokerage Company 3.07%.
There are 107 brokerage companies in Iran’s stock market, 104 of which handle online deals.
Online trade, worth 4,984 trillion rials ($29 billion), accounted for 71 % of the total capital market deals in the mentioned period.
Mofid Securities Company topped the list of brokerages in terms of online trade. It processed 26% of online trade followed by Agah Brokerage with 16.6%, Farabi Brokerage 3.9 % and Mobin Sarmayeh Brokerage 3.7%.
