Tehran Stocks Dip 0.7%

After a short-lived bull market in the earlier session, the benchmark of Tehran Stock Exchange dipped 0.72% on Tuesday.  The TSE's market cap-weighted index, TEDPIX, lost 3,653.90 points for the day and closed session at 502,426.11.

Trading at TSE and over-the-counter Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday.

IRCA Part Sanat Company (auto part manufacturer) was the biggest winner as its shares went up 10.77% to 9,730 rials per share.

Hafez Tile Company incurred the biggest loss among all TSE-listed companies and went down 8.34% to 14,031 rials per share.

Pars Petrochemical Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Mellat Bank, Bandar Abbas Oil Refining Company and MAPNA Group.

Telecommunication Company of Iran gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Pakshoo Industrial Group Company, Mobile Telecommunication Company of Iran and Tehran Oil Refining Company.

The Price Index lost 973.84 points, or 0.72% to close at 133,907.45.

The First Market Index went down 3,492.58 points, or 0.97% to post 355,346.28.Second Market Index was down 3,713.25 points, or 0.35% to reach 1,065,770.29.

The Industry Index lost 3,266.89 points or 0.72% to register 448,772.15. Free Float Index was down 5,548.31 points to hit 638,630.74.

TSE 30 went down 177.42 points to settle at 19,836.42 and the TSE 50 ended 170.58 points lower to finish at 18,240.89.

 

 

IFX Down 0.88%

Iran Fara Bourse main index IFX lost 57.63 points or 0.88% to close Tuesday trade at 6,491.01.

About 1.68 billion securities valued at 20.03 trillion rials ($126.82 million) were traded at the over-the-counter exchange for the day.

Esfahan Steel Company had the highest number of traded shares as 134.34 million of its shares worth 355.92 billion rials ($2.25 million) were traded.

Zagros Petrochemical Company, Iran Office Machines Industries Company, Esfahan Steel Company and Iran Fara Bourse had the most negative impact on IFX.

Damavand Power Generation Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Gohar Zamin Iron Ore Company and Shahid Tondgooyan Petrochemical Company.
