After two weeks of non-stop rally Tehran Stock Exchange entered a correction phase on Wednesday as giant commodity stocks retreated and small-cap companies advanced.
TSE's main index TEDPIX shed 1,170.93 points, or 0.32%, for the day to close trading week at 361,088.4.
Unlike TEDPIX, which gives more weight to high-cap companies, the equal-weighted index ended in the green, indicating upbeat performance of small stocks.
The equal-weighted index, which gives the same weight to all stock regardless of their size and value, was up 0.60% for the day.
