Tehran Stocks Nudge 0.4% Higher

Most symbol tickers of Tehran Stock Exchange began trading  in green on Tuesday, with the benchmark rising more than 4,000 points, before making a U-turn in the late hours of trading. 
The short-lived bull market soon gave place to a sell-off, pushing TEDPIX to shed gains to 1,398.56. The benchmark ended trade 0.43% higher.  
About 8.82 billion shares valued at 34.36 trillion rials ($300.1 million) changed hands for the day.
Chemi Darou Industrial Company was the biggest winner as its shares went up 8.8% to 15,102 rials per share.
Niroumoharekeh Machine Tools Company incurred the biggest loss among all TSE-listed companies and went down 4.82% to 6,122 rials per share.
National Iranian Copper Industries contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Mobarakeh Steel Company, Omid Investment Management Group Company, and Esfahan Oil Refining Company.
Telecommunication Company of Iran gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Tamin Petroleum and Petrochemical Investment Company, and Mobile Telecommunication Company of Iran.
Iran Fara Bourse main index IFX lost 5.96 points or 0.14% to close Tuesday trade at 4,293.92.
About 2.23 billion securities valued at 12.97 trillion rials ($113.3 million) were traded at the junior stock exchange for the day.
