After a long production lull, private carmaker Diar Khodro has reopened its factories making Senova X25 in collaboration with Chinese automotive company BAIC.
Based in Golpayegan in central Isfahan Province, Diar's working license expired in 2016. However, the firm announced its comeback during the Tehran Auto Show 2017 last November by showcasing several new models.
As part of the pilot phase of the X25 production, Diar Khodro is producing five units of the model every day. The company says it will increase production to 10 cars a day in the coming weeks, and the model’s mass production will be launched in the near future, Asb-e Bokhar reported.
Senova X25 is a subcompact crossover equipped with a 1.5-liter inline four-cylinder engine, which puts out 114bhp and 148Nm of torque.
