A local startup has been launched to offer on-demand automotive services to residents of Tehran.
The business aims to save the citizen’s time in the city’s traffic-clogged streets by coming to one’s chosen location.
Dubbed “Carboy”, the company provides customers with battery and brake pad replacement, oil change and carwash services, according to the firm’s website.
The application is available for both Android and iOS. Android users can access the program on Google Play and local Android market Cafe Bazaar, while iOS users can download the app from the homegrown app store Sibapp.
Operating through carboy.ir, the business has also designed a web application to further expedite the order process for customers.
Upon launching the application, customers should submit their vehicle’s information and an address before they can see the estimated fees.
The website’s FAQ section says the parts and products used during repairs are strictly in accord with what the vehicle’s manufacturer has recommended for the model.
The application has been downloaded more than 5,000 times from Cafe Bazaar. The business has an Instagram account which has attracted 12,000 followers, another sign of a thriving business.
With the motto, “make your car feel better online,” the startup prides itself on professionalism. Users’ reviews of the services on social media platforms indicate that Carboy has been able to live up to the proclaimed slogan.
Services
The carwash services provided by the business have the significant feature of being environment-friendly.
According to their website, the company employs nanotechnology for a waterless carwash. In addition to curbing the water usage, through the method pollutants do not enter the environment.
When the nanotechnology-enhanced washing liquid is sprayed onto the surface, the soaps and special lubricants will liquefy and dissolve dirt on contact. The nano towel pulls the dirt off the surface and protects it from scratching.
The firm boasts that the method protects the vehicle’s body from damages caused by traditional carwash practices.
According to Carboy’s website, depending on the vehicle’s model, they use oil suggested by car manufacturers for each specific model.
The company endorses the use of products from major brands for battery and brake pad replacement. Lastly, they also fix punctures on tubeless tires.
The startup is using any means necessary to promote its business. Promotional videos are posted on their website and social media pages.
As soon as a user registers with the application, they can enjoy a one-off 40% discount for under 400,000 rials ($9.5) services.
Furthermore, by introducing the program to others, one can obtain a Carboy discount coupon.
