Hyundai, South Korea's largest carmaker, has launched the 2016 Santa Fe “The Prime”, according to South Korean Car Blog on Saturday. The current Santa Fe model was rated marginal on IIHS Small Overlap Crash test. According to Hyundai, the new Santa Fe improved the chassis and structure, with the use of high strength steel enabling the new model to be rated as "Good".At the same time, Hyundai introduced many new safety systems on the 2016 Santa Fe, like advanced smart cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, blind spot detection and autonomous highway safety driving. The available trims for the 2016 Santa Fe depend on the engine you choose. For example, the trims for the 2.0 R-Engine Diesel are Smart, Modern, Exclusive and Exclusive Special and for the 2.2 R-Engine Diesel – Premium, Exclusive and Exclusive Special. The car is likely to be available in the Iranian market as soon as it hits other Persian Gulf littoral states in the coming months. In recent years many Hyundais coming to Iran have been imported through Iraq's Basra Port, as means of speeding up the import of the vehicle when released.
