Iran's Mega Motors Company has a new manager now. Akbar Shams Lahiji, a current member of Saipa board of directors, has been appointed as the company's CEO, Saipa News reported.  Lahiji was the CEO of Saipa Metal Lockers company, a sub-division company which is famous for its industrial automotive molding techniques. He also used to chair the board for Machine Sazi Tabriz and was a board member for the automotive research and innovation center for Saipa.  The new Mega CEO will be tasked to upgrade the ageing infrastructure being used on many lines for Saipa vehicles. He will also be responsible for SAIPA Yadak, a subsidiary which has been one of the groups underperforming companies in recent years.  The company also has a market share in Iraq and Afghanistan.  Mega Motors was established in 1993, as part of SAIPA's plans to indigenize auto parts production. Since then the company has produced engine, gearboxes, axles and other mechanical parts for the Saipa group.
