Iran Khodro Diesel (IKD) is planning to manufacture at least 8400 commercial vehicles in the new Iranian calendar year (started March 21), Gholamreza Razzazi, the CEO of the company said in his meeting with IKD's officials, Persian Khodro reported on Monday.
IKD seeks to manufacture all its products internally, taking advantage of domestically produced auto parts, Razzazi said, and considering the agreement between Iran and P5+1, the company aims to seize the opportunity to acquire international technology.
Razzazi said, to manufacture quality products which meet international standards, the company will now seek to work with other international companies.
IKD, under license of Daimler-Benz in Germany, is a leading manufacturer of commercial vehicles (trucks, buses, minibuses & vans) in the Iranian market as well as several other countries in the Middle East, CIS, and Africa.
