The 37th edition of Iran’s national Qur’an Competition is planned for early March, an Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization official said.

New head of the organization’s Qur’anic Affairs Center Hojatoleslam Seyed Mostafa Hosseini told IQNA that the city of Tabriz, capital of the northwestern province of East Azarbaijan, will host this year’s contest.

He said various programs are planned to be held on the sidelines of the national contest, including several Qur’an recitation sessions.

Hosseini added that a Qur’anic exhibition is also scheduled to be held at the Tabriz Mosalla (prayers ground).

Workshops on Qur’an and Hadith topics will also be held during the national competition, he added.
