The 3rd International Conference on Current Issues of Languages, Dialects and Linguistics will be held in winter in Ahvaz, capital of Khuzestan Province.

Slated for January 31-February 1, 2019, the event is organized by Pazhouheshgaran Andishmand Institute and Amir-ol-Momenin University, both in Ahvaz. It will be hosted by the university. The two previous editions of the meeting were held at Chamran University of Ahvaz in February of 2017 and the same time this year.

The third edition will focus on contemporary aspects of different languages and dialects such as English, Arabic, Spanish, German and Turkic, according to the website of the conference, Ltlt.ir.

Academics and university instructors are invited to present their research regarding current issues in different languages, dialects and linguistics in English, Arabic or Persian. End of October is the deadline for submission of abstracts and application forms.

According to a statement by the organizers, “linguistics is no longer limited to a certain field. It encourages influx of knowledge from different fields, promoting diversity.”

Based on the necessity of diversity, the organizing committee seeks to provide a platform where researchers and scholars from various fields pool minds and share ideas.

A selected collection of articles presented at the conference will be published in journals and will be indexed on the website of Civilica.com, an Iranian publisher specializing in scientific and special conferences.
