Feature film “Orange Days” written and directed by Arash Lahooti will participate in the competition section of Zurich Film Festival slated for September 27-October 7. According to the festival website, the film is to set for three screenings on October 3, 4 and 5 with English and German subtitles. Orange Days, first fiction film by documentary filmmaker Lahooti, portrays an assertive forty plus woman, played by Hedieh Tehrani, involved in the male-dominated orange business for years. She employs a group of seasonal female workers to harvest orange trees in northern Iran. She gets the largest order in the region in a particular year -- a development most of her male competitors are averse to.
