This year’s edition of HIGH FEST International Performing Arts Festival in Armenia will host 35 theatrical performances by famous theater groups from 17 countries including six from Iran.
The festival will be held at Yerevan State Institute of Theatre and Cinema from September 27-October 5, Mehr News Agency reported.
Iranian performances include “My Dolls” directed by Vahid Khosravi from Kermanshah, “Water Bride” by Mehdi Salehyar from East Azarbaijan, “Haurvatat” co-directed by Meysam Sadra and Ali Hamidian from South Khorasan, and “The Parrot and the Merchant” by Heydar Rezaei from Ilam. The two other participating plays “Marshmallow” by Albert Beigjani and “October 17” by Sarvenaz Nankali are from Tehran.
HIGH FEST welcomes performing art companies and artists to present their works in all genres of performing arts including theater (drama, comedy, mime, movement, circus, street performances, puppet/marionette and fingers theater), dance (modern, folk, classic etc.), and music (opera, classical, musical, contemporary, jazz, folk, etc).
