Directed by Seyyed Ali Tadayon Sadouqi, the theatrical performance “All Daughters of Amir Kabir” is on stage at Hafez Theater Hall.

The story is set in Khorramshahr County, Khuzestan Province, during the 1980-88 Iran-Iraq war and follows a high school teacher and her students who are taken prisoners by the invading Iraqi soldiers.

The play carries the name Daughters of Amir Kabir because of the bravery and devotion of the girls and their teacher to their homeland.

Mirza Taghi Khan Farahani, better known as Amir Kabir, was the chief minister of Qajar king Naser al-Din Shah during the first three years of his reign. He was one of the most capable, innovative and respected statesmen that emerged in the entire era of Qajar rule (1786-1925).

The cast includes Yalda Qashqaei, Mahla Daryaei, Siavash Khadem-Hosseini, Paria Mohammadi and Azadeh Bahrami.

All Daughters of Amir Kabir will be performed through September 18.
