‘Gold Carrier’ to Compete in Busan Int’l Film Festival

Feature film “Gold Carrier” has been selected for the New Currents section of the 23rd Busan International Film Festival in South Korea, October 4-13. The 85-minute film, directed by Tooraj Aslani, chronicles Reza, a gold carrier, who delivers gold and jewelry from workshops to stores. One day he is robbed on his way and tries to find a way to compensate, Mehr News Agency reported. Hossein Ahmadinia, Saeed Aqakhani, Lotfollah Seyfi and Jaleh Sameti are in the cast. The New Currents section is dedicated to competition among up-and-coming Asian film-makers’ first and  second feature. Films from Sri Lanka, Japan, China, Bhutan, Nepal, Korea and Kyrgyzstan will compete. Held annually in Haeundae-gu, Busan, South Korea, the BIFF is one of the most momentous film festivals in Asia.
