A photography tour of Isfahan deserts is planned by Chiilick Photography Institute, focusing on the magical sunrise in desert areas.
The one-day tour is slated for September 27. Maranjab Desert in Aran-Bidgol County near Kashan is the destination, according to the website of the organizing institute, Chiilick.com.
Participants will be picked up on Wednesday night, September 26, from the Chiilik premises located near 7 Tir Square in central Tehran, and will visit the places on the itinerary the next evening.
They will witness at close range sunrise and the play of light on the curves of sand dunes. Four hours after sunrise participants will continue taking photos. They should be back in Tehran by 10 pm. Maranjab Desert is bound from the north by Aran-Bidgol Salt Lake, from the west by Massileh Desert and salt ponds, from the east by Band-Rig Desert and Kavir National Park, and from the south by the cities of Aran-Bidgol and Kashan. The average height of this area from sea level is about 850 meters.
Mostly covered with sand dunes, Maranjab Desert is rich in terms of flora and fauna compared to other deserts. The main vegetation consists of salt-friendly plants including tamarisk trees and zygophyllum.
