A political novel written by former US president Bill Clinton and American author James Patterson is available in Persian.
The fictional thriller “The President Is Missing” has been translated from English into Persian by Nasrin Majidi and published by Roozegar Publication, Honaronline reported.
As the novel opens, a threat looms. Enemies are planning an attack on an unprecedented scale on the United States. Uncertainty and fear envelopes Washington. There is talk about cyber terror attacks and espionage and a traitor in the cabinet. The president himself becomes a suspect, and then goes missing.
According to Goodread.com, the book sets in real time, over the course of three days and it is one of the most dramatic spellbinding thrillers in decades that could all really happen.
The book, originally published in June, is Clinton’s first novel. A television adaptation of the book is being developed by Showtime Channel.
William Jefferson “Bill” Clinton was the forty-second President of the US, serving from 1993 to 2001.
Clinton, 72, has previously written the three-volume biography “My Life”, “Back to Work” and “Giving”.
James Patterson, 71, is a successful mystery writer. He has written over dozens of books and sold more than 300 million copies.
