The cold war spy novel “A Legacy of Spies” written by British author John le Carré is available in Persian.

It has been translated by Mehdi Fayazikia and published by Chatrang Publication, ISNA reported.

The book, originally published in English last year, is the latest work by the master of spy novels. It is both a prequel and sequel to his well known stories of “The Spy Who Came in from the Cold”.

According to Goodreads.com, the novel narrates past and current life of a retired British spy, Peter Guillam, who is summoned to explain about his time during the Cold War by MI6, the UK intelligence service.

John le Carré, 86, a pseudonym for former MI6 operative David John Moore Cornwell, has written over 20 novels, four short stories and three screenplays.
