Selected cinemas are showing the social drama “Compulsory” directed by Hamidreza Refaee.
The film seeks to recognize and highlight the value of fathers. Karim, who is completing his mandatory military service in a city far from home, has to spend few days with his elderly father who suffers from Alzheimer’s disease.
The film focuses on issues like respecting and valuing aging parents. “I believe we should spend more time on such issues. Nowadays many parents are being ignored by their children and spend time in nursing homes,” Refaee told Honaronline in an interview.
The cast includes Amir-Mehdi Azizi, Alireza Ostadi, Ramin Rastad and Habibollah Khoda-Madadi.
Venues showing the film include Cinema Museum, Farhang Cinema, Book Garden and Charsou cineplexes.
