The 20th House of Cinema awards ceremony was held Saturday at Tehran’s Vahdat Hall where Vahid Jalilvand’s drama “No Date, No Signature” won the major awards.
No Date, No Signature was the top winner of the night receiving five awards for the best film (presented to producer Ali Jalilvand), best director (Vahid Jalilvand), best screenplay (Ali Zarnegar and Vahid Jalilvand), best actor in supporting role (Navid Mohammadzadeh) and best actress in supporting role (Zakiyeh Behbahani).
According to Khabaronline, Maziar Miri’s “Sara and Ayda” won the best actress award for Ghazal Shakeri as well as best editing (Ahmad Moradpour).
The best actor award went to Hamed Behdad for his role in “Blockage” directed by Mohsen Qaraei. The movie also won the best production design award (Hojjat Ashtari).
Mani Haghighi’s “Pig” won three awards -- best music, make up and costume design.
Ebrahim Hatamikia’s “Damascus Time” picked two awards. “Istanbul Junction” directed by Mostafa Kiaei, “Bridge of Sleep” by Oktay Baraheni and “Asphyxia” by Fereydoun Jeyrani each won one award.
Organized by the Iranian Alliance of Motion Picture Guilds, better known as House of Cinema, the annual ceremony awards the best films released locally in the past year.
