Art Museum Garden in Tehran has organized the screening of eight feature films and 24 documentaries by veteran filmmaker Khosrow Sinai on August 25-September 6.
The program is a part of commemorating event “Like a Tale” that pays tribute to Sinai and his distinguished artistic career, IRNA reported on its Persian website.
Feature films in the program include “Long live” (1979), “The Lost Requiem” (1983), “The Inner Beast” (1983), “Talking With a Shadow” (2005), “In the Alleys of Love” (1991), “Autumn Alley” (1997), “The Bride of Fire” (1999) and “The Rainbow Island” (2014).
Sinai, 77, moved to Austria where he studied several majors including architecture, music composition, cinema and TV directing as well as screenplay writing.
Though Sinai is mostly known for his films, he also is an accomplished composer and accordion virtuoso, and has composed soundtracks for some of his own films. Moreover, he has written and translated several essays about cinema and other fields of fine arts.
The ongoing event appraises soundtracks of his films as well as his written works. A selection of old photos from his family album is also on show.
The venue is located at No. 33, Dr. Hesabi St., Darbandi St., Tajrish Square.
