A book about prominent American filmmaker Terrence Malick and his philosophy has been translated into Persian by Hesamoddin Mousavi-Rizi and published by Lega Publication. “Terrence Malick: Film and Philosophy” written by Stuart Kendall and Thomas Deane Tucker reviews the director’s films and philosophical approaches, Honaronline reported.

Malick has written and directed 13 films and won prizes including Cannes Palme d’Or and Golden Bear at Berlinale.

The book includes studies on and philosophical insight into Malick’s four feature films, “Badlands” (1973), “Days of Heaven” (1978), “The Thin Red Line” (1998) and “The New World” (2005). According to Bloomsbury.com Malick’s films are also open to other angles, notably phenomenological and deconstructive interpretations.
