The Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults is hosting a pop-up book fair at its library.

Titled “Paper Statues,” the show features 40 Persian and English pop-up books and will run until September 22, ISNA reported.

A pop-up book is a book with pages that rise when opened to simulate a three-dimensional form. Pop-up books include text, illustrations and folded, glued, or pull-tab elements that move within the pages of the story.

The Persian books on display include “Magic Bean”, “Persian Alphabets”, “The Journey of Sara and Dara” and “Flag of Iran - From the Beginning Till Today”.

Sally Hewitt’s “Jungle Beasts” and David A. Carter’s “Yellow Square” and “B Is for Box” are among the English-language books.

The venue is located at No. 24, Khalid Islambouli St., Shahid Beheshti St.
