To commemorate the legendary actor Ezzatolah Entezami, the Iranian Artists Forum will hold a retrospective of his works.
Known as ‘Master Actor’ in Iranian cinema for his numerous roles spanning decades, Entezami died of cardiac arrest at the age of 94 on August 17.
The program in Tehran, August 27-29, will screen nine films by the highly respected actor, Honaronline reported.
“Once Upon a Time, Cinema” directed by Mohsen Makhmalbaf, “Blue-Veiled” by Rakhshan Bani-Etemad, and “The Cycle “ By Dariush Mehrjui are the films set for screening on the first day of the program.
On August 28 “The Tenants” by Dariush Mehrjui, “A House Built on Water” by Bahman Farmanara, and “Sattar Khan” by Ali Hatami will be shown.
Three films selected for the last day of the program are “Hajji Washington” by Ali Hatami, “The Lady” by Dariush Mehrjui, and “Sadegh the Kurd” by Nasser Taghvai.
The program will conclude by holding a review of the films Entezami played in during the course of his distinguished career in the presence of cineastes.
IAF is situated at Artists Park on North Mousavi Street.
