Documentary and Experimental Film Center in Tehran is going to screen a movie on the lives of stray and homeless animals. “Animal Club,” directed by documentary director Hadi Afarideh, will be screened Sunday at the DEFC located on Qandi Street, Palizi Square, south of Seyyed-Khandan Bridge, Mehr News Agency reported on its Persian website. Made in an episodic structure, the film deals with the plight of the homeless and unwanted creatures. It also shows the rising trend of pet keeping among Iranians in recent years. The event will be the debut screening of the film coproduced by DEFC.
