A self-help book about the harm one’s ego can inflict and the internal obstacles it creates has been translated into Persian.
American author Ryan Holiday’s fourth nonfiction book, “The Ego is the Enemy,” has been translated by Sara Sarfaraz and published by Pendar e Taban Publication, Mehr News Agency reported.
In the past, other publishers have translated two books by the same author into Persian including “The Obstacle Is the Way” and “Growth Hacker Marketing.”
According to Goodreads (goodreads.com), the books draws on a vast array of stories and examples, from literature to philosophy to history and fascinating figures like American business magnate Howard Hughes, New York Times publisher Katharine Graham, and Eleanor Roosevelt, wife of former US president, all of whom reached the highest levels of power and success by conquering their own egos. The author argues that their ways can help readers as well. “I’ve found that history is also made by individuals who fought their ego at every turn, who eschewed the spotlight, putting their higher goals above their desires for recognition.”
Ryan Holiday, 31, is an author, marketer, and entrepreneur. He is a media strategist and a media columnist and editor-at-large for the New York Observer and has written seven books.
